System Information
Access Model
MICRO operates in open access mode by default. All features are available without authentication. User profiles are optional and used for personalisation and tracking preferences.
Profile Security
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with work factor 12. No plain text passwords are stored. Session tokens use secure HttpOnly cookies with SameSite=Lax. All profile data is stored locally.
Multi-User Support
Each user profile maintains independent preferences including default instrument, specimen selections, and viewer settings. Profiles can be created and managed from this administration page.
